SAUL RAMIREZ
Artist, Poet, Art Historian
Saul Ramirez received their BFA in Studio Art and their BA in Art History at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces and is currently working on their MFA in Painting at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Much of their work explores the intersections between poetry and scholarship, their practice at times intersecting with civics and mental health. Their work explores themes of personal and public history through examinations of language and myth, using pedagogy and performance address issues of queerness, citizenship, and homemaking in the hope of transforming art into an investment in community.
